SLI & FCSN Chinese New Years Celebration!

On February 23, 2019, Seagull Leadership International partnered with Friends of Children with Special Needs to bring both special needs adults and children an opportunity to celebrate the beginning of the new lunar year!

The event opened up with the games and activities managed by our volunteers, some of which included lantern making, ring toss, and fishing. Both special needs children and adults eagerly participated, along with their families. Afterwards, a spectacular band performance provided for a lively, dance-filled atmosphere. When the event ended and clean-up finished, the volunteers were provided with dinner in appreciation for their hard work!

Being able to work with special needs individuals is a valuable opportunity to gain insight on different perspectives and attitudes! A big thank you to FCSN and our volunteers for making this event possible.
