Music Therapy

On April 10, 15 children ranging from ages 3 to 15 brought joy to the seniors of Hotel Oakland. Three preschoolers sang nursery songs. Dianna, Susannah, Sophia, Koey, and Hong Ying performed dances. They performed hip hop and Chinese cultural dances. Susanna and Dianna also played violin and piano pieces. In addition, Sara, Nira, Yongying, and Helen sang a Chinese song. After the performances, each senior received an origami folded pig folded by the teenagers for the year of the pig. The seniors loved the pigs and performances, and look forward to each quarter’s musical therapy session.
