On June 25, members of Seagull Leadership visited Friends of Children with Special Needs, an organization dedicated to helping individuals with special needs and their families find love, hope, respect, and support through integrated community involvement. The officers hosted a lively show, with talented performances from Pauline, Nichole, and Alicia, as well as beautiful music from young guest performers. Alicia performed a beautiful Chinese dance, while Pauline played a well-known piece, "Unravel" from Tokyo Ghoul, on the piano. Nichole performed a classical romantic piano piece that the audience enjoyed. In addition, many guest performers introduced unique Chinese instruments to the audience, such as the GuZheng (古筝), DiZi (笛子), Erhu(二胡), and Liuqin(柳琴). All of the performances were extremely talented and beautifully executed, and our intrigued audience enjoyed the show very much.
After the show, Jessica and Alicia taught a fun dance lesson for the kids. They taught a simple routine to the song "Happy" by Pharrell Williams. It was very well-received, and the kids definitely had fun. Overall, this event was very successful, and Seagull Leadership is happy to be helping for such a great cause.
